  • That’s a good question! Towanda is in northern Pennsylvania, about 60 miles northwest of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and 55 miles south of Ithaca, NY. We’re about a three hour drive from Philadelphia, New York City, and Buffalo.

  • Flying in from out-of-town closely resembles a “pick your own adventure” tale. All of these airports are unfortunately far enough away that they will require renting a car to take you all the way to Towanda.

    • Elmira-Corning Regional (ELM): Approx. 45 miles from Towanda, a very small airport with limited numbers of flights.

    • Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International (AVP): Approximately 65 miles from Towanda, still quite small but better connected than ELM.

    • Syracuse Hancock International (SYR): 125 miles from Towanda.

    • Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC): 154 miles from Towanda

    • Philadelphia International (PHL), Newark Liberty International (EWR), Buffalo Niagara International (BUF) are all about 180 miles from Towanda.

    • New York City airports JFK and LaGuardia (LGA) are both approximately 200 miles from Towanda.
